Who We Are?
Founded in January 2008 by Rob Barklamb, Langdale Search & Selection aims to bring a fresh approach to Legal recruitment in the North and Midlands. Rob has gained over 16 years' recruitment experience, including spells with the former market leader in Legal recruitment in London as well helping to establish the Leeds Legal recruitment office for one of the world´s largest recruitment consultancies. Most recently he was Vice-President Operations for an International Search firm, holding responsibility for the UK, Continental Europe and the Middle East.
What We Can Do For You
We specialise in Legal recruitment. We recruit fee earners (Assistants through to Partners) and Management in the Midlands and Northern offices of National, Regional and local law firms. We can also recruit for In-House positions in the region. As of 2011, we also recruit for clients in Continental Europe.
How We Do It for You
Langdale Search & Selection's main service offering is Search, or headhunting as it is otherwise known. We feel that in a market where demand for talent is high and readily available supply is low, Search is the most effective way to make critical appointments in a timely fashion (See Why Search? for more details). Thus we can pro-actively identify all potential prospects for you, approaching all and engaging many in your opportunity, thereafter managing the process through to completion. We leave nothing to chance - we follow a precise and well defined process in order to ensure a successful conclusion to any Search. See Client Services for more details. What We Don't Do
We focus on a few key areas with our clients in order to guarantee a focussed and efficient service. Thus, whilst we recognise the significant contribution others make, we do not recruit Paralegals or Legal Executives, we do not recruit into support functions, nor do we recruit Locums. Langdale Search & Selection does not service London or the South East. We remain focussed on key areas in order to provide the best service.
Most importantly, we do not Search from clients and adhere to a strict "off limits" policy. That is to say that we will not attempt to poach from a firm or company which we have invoiced within the last nine months from the present date or from which we are currently under instruction on an assignment and where Terms of Business have been signed. That's the whole firm designated as being "off limits" - not just the office or department - no ifs, no buts.
